Filter basin with highly efficient simultaneous backwash with air and water
The ENVICO Water Purifying System was developed and improved based on a series of water treatment technologies introduced in 1972 from C.T.E. (C.G.E Group, now the Veolia Water Technologies) of France, which is a country with advanced water supply technologies. It is a catchment system of porous concrete plates and washing water discharge troughs. With consideration given to "making full use of the filtration materials", we have adopted a simultaneous backwash system with air and water. This system achieves higher recovery rate of the filtration function by more efficiently separating and removing suspended solids from the filters, when compared with the system with traditional water washing. ENVICO Water Purifying Systems are inexpensive to construct and maintain and easy to operate, so they are used in a variety of water treatment systems such as rapid filters, activated carbon adsorption ponds, advanced sewage treatment, and gray-water systems. They have a wealth of proven track records both in Japan and abroad.

Compact ENVICO Water Purifying System is a combination of traditional rapid filtration with ENVICO porous catchment units. It is mobile and easy to install and it does not require much water to operate. It can be applied to 20 m
3/day small water-supply systems through 1,500 m
3/day full-capacity System. Though compact, none of the advantages of ENVICO Water Purifying System is sacrificed, such as "Stable supply of high-quality treated water", "Quick recovery of filtration capacity", "Reduction of suspended solid from the flitration material after cleaning" and "Stability of filter layers after cleaning." In addition, as a measure against Cryptosporidium, a chlorine-resistant protozoan, we are working on a water treatment system that have a high-sensitivity turbid-meter and is incorporated with wash and purge processes. For Kubota Construction, global environment and environment for life are the two main propositions while tackling to realize tangible improvement of water environment.
