DXR method (DUPLEX METHOD FOR PIPELINE RENEWAL)

The DXR method achieving drastically reduced cost for earthquake-resistant pipeline

The DXR method is a technology that was jointly developed with Kubota Corporation. It is a pipeline construction method that combines "DXR shield" and "carry-in joint work of PN-type ductile iron pipes." DXR shield is a trenchless construction method that achieves a "reduced casing pipe diameter" to accommodate the same size of the main water pipe. It is a "casing pipe shield tunneling method for water supply" that enables environmentally friendly and economical design and construction. On the other hand, the PN type ductile iron pipe is a pipe that makes it easy to perform pipe jointing and transportation in a narrow casing pipe. It realizes the speedy and reliable construction of earthquake-resistant pipelines.

This combination of the DXR shield and the carry-in joint work of PN type ductile iron pipes makes it possible to achieve both "reduction of the cross section excavated" and "avoidance of traffic disturbance by long-distance sharp curved construction" in the execution. We will continue to contribute to society by proposing even more economical methods of construction to meet the demand for pipeline renewal in urban areas, which is expected to grow even further from now on.
