Tackling construction projects beyond borders has been one of our important founding objectives.
We attach high value to heart-to-heart interaction with the local people when we take up the projects.
We attribute our success in the projects to:
Our strong passion to contribute to local people through our technology and sincerity.
Our sense of mission to be proud of our performance as a trusted international organization in the world.
We have had the honor of receiving commendations from the governments of Cambodia, Laos, and other countries,
which reflects their appreciation for our achievement
in the infrastructure buildup and their revelation of friendship and goodwill.
'Persistence pays off.' is a phrase we have learned and practiced in the projects.

The project started in the extremely hot season. The workers were hit by hot waves from early morning, fiery winds during the day and heavy sand storms. They also suffered from what was called "Baptism in Iraq," with diarrhea and fever of nearly 40°C due to inadaptability to water and environment.

This was completed within a limited period of time to synchronize with the expressway construction work in the vicinity.

Yemen
This was our company's first overseas sewerage work. It was the largest project the Yemen (At that time "South Yemen") government had experienced. So, the expectations and trust placed on Kubota Construction were enormous.
In 1986, an internal conflict broke out during additional construction work. There was even an episode where workers were rescued by a French freighter and escaped, but the construction was completed safely after the internal conflict ended.

We were responsible for construction of a water treatment plant and subsequent pipelines. The project was awarded to us through an international competitive bidding and became the first construction project for us in Latin America. It has brought us an invaluable experience like coordination with multiple contractors from UK, USA and Jamaica. It has also given us a challenge of rebuilding the dam, which was swept away by a hurricane while under construction.

The United Nations' UNTAC was established in Cambodia as the world focused on the recovery of the country from its collapse due to civil war. A general election was held and each country restarted its aid. Among them, Japan played a major role, and Kubota Construction also played a part.

In addition to our water supply projects, we have also contributed to social infrastructure development projects. The riverside area along the Tonle Sap river that was improved by this construction has become a popular spot, not only among local residents, but also among tourists.
