Corporate History

April 1955 Established as Kubota Waterworks Co., Ltd. in Chuo Ward, Tokyo with 100% investment from Kubota Tekko K.K. (currently Kubota Corporation)
September 1958 Signed a contract for construction of water supply system in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia.
This was the first overseas water supply construction project by a Japanese company. Successful completion of the project has led to the acceptance of Japanese standard in global water market.
The achievements in this construction received the highest gold award in Cambodia.
June 1962 Signed a contract for construction of water supply system in Vientiane, Laos.
This construction work received the "Order of a Million Elephants and White Parasol" decoration, the highest award of honor from the Laos government. It was the first receipt of this honor as a Japanese person.
Completed continuous construction projects in various overseas markets.
April 1966 As the company's business developed, it also started general civil engineering work.
October 1967 Changed company name to Kubota Construction K.K.
May 1972 Entered into architectural buiness in private sector.

December 2011 Signed contract for the "Karnaphuli Water Supply Project (Phase 1)" in Chittagong, Bangladesh
54th overseas construction project for Kubota Construction. It was the first large-scale construction project in Bangladesh, to install water supply pipes with a total length of over 100 km.
June 2016 Signed contract for the "Karnaphuli Water Supply Project (Phase 2)" in Chittagong, Bangladesh
57th overseas construction project for Kubota Construction
March 2018 Completion of 267th architecture construction project "Nissan Prince Nishi-Tokyo Inagi branch" Outline of the construction project
March 2019 Exceeded cumulative construction length of 550,000 m using Kubota Mini Shield Tunneling Method
March 2019 Signed contract for "The Project for Expansion of Water Supply System" in Kampong Thom, Kingdom of Cambodia
60th overseas construction project for Kubota Construction. We became the first Japanese company to undertake the whole package from design and build through operation and maintenance of water supply facilities in a Japan ODA (Official Development Assistance) project.
January 2020 Merged with Kubota Pipe Tech Co., Ltd. and construction division of Kubota Platech Corporation.
December 2020 Company-wide acquisition of ISO 45001 certification
